Before putting your bicycle away for the winter you should do some basic maintenance.
Pump the tires & either hang or flip over to prevent tire damage
Wash down the bicycle & check it for any damage
Clean & lube the chain
Remove all accessories that need to be stored inside
Store in the best condition you have available: house, covered porch, garage, or put in a zip cover if storing outside.
